The beautiful blue skies have blessed us today!

Spring has greeted us with great vigor this year!  All of our trees are now in full bloom and the sounds and smells of spring have finally returned.

Lauren had her first CYO track meet over the weekend and despite the cold and gray weather she had a great time!  She did well in the 200m and I’m sure will only improve as the season goes along…

On day two we covered nearly 9 miles at Minister Creek State Park and enjoyed a fantastic lunch perched atop a large boulder while basking in the sun and enjoying the quiet solitude.

We arrived at Black Bear Cabins early in the day and immediately hit the trail for a late day hike…  despite the near 50 degree temps the trail was covered with snow and ice in spots.

The sun was out which helped to combat the cold air still blowing in from the north.
